Before stepping into the world of car detailing, my journey began in the corporate space. In 2019, I started working at one of the Big Four firms as an external auditor. During that time, I developed a strong foundation in discipline, structure, and professionalism, while gaining valuable real-world experience.
After three years, I transitioned into an internal audit role at a credit union in 2022, where I continued to grow and refine my skills. Over the years, one key trait stood out above all: attention to detail. And if you understand auditing, you know that precision isn't optional. It's everything.
Interestingly, that same principle is what defines exceptional car detailing.
It all came together when I purchased my Nissan Skyline 350GT with a beige leather interior. The vehicle needed more than just a regular wash. It needed a detail. I searched online, found a detailer, and booked the service. During the process, something clicked.
Watching the transformation and the level of care taken in every step sparked a genuine interest. When the job was completed, I was impressed, not just with the results, but with the process itself. I asked about the products used to maintain that finish and followed the recommendations. From that moment, everything changed.
I got the products and, for over a year, I never returned to a car wash. Instead, I invested time into learning, watching videos, studying techniques, and understanding the art behind detailing. One video turned into two, two into three, and before long, I was fully immersed.
I started practicing on my own car, then moved on to my sister's, her boyfriend's, and my mother-in-law's vehicles. Each time, I focused on delivering a deep, thorough clean. The feedback was consistent. My sister would often say that whenever I washed her car, it stayed cleaner for longer. That's when I realized this was more than just a hobby. It was a skill.
